Kieren Seymour’s new paintings question whether a fragment of our essence, even at an atomic level, can be integrated into a machine while still retaining our identity, ego, or self. The minimal palette of black and white references Seymour’s drawing practice which is core to his artmaking. The paired back palette reframes Seymour’s focus on the form and application of paint, and establishes an immediate, intuitive rhythm to the process.
